Less than a year later, Pinarello released the F10 Disk, which offered the same legendary performance with the added reliability of disc brakes. After the release of the all-new Prince road bike, Pinarello have brought along the Pinarello Prince Disk Ultegra Di2, which again takes the top-spec capability of the Prince and adds the precision, security, and functionality of disc brakes.
Prince Disk starts with Toray T carbon, the same found on the rim brake model. It shares many similarities with the Dogma F10, down to the front is the Pinarello Onda fork, updated with the characteristic fork flaps first found on the Pinarello Bolide.
The downtube receives an updated Flatback profile to come much closer to the Dogma as well, with the tubes further optimized for aerodynamics around water bottles. The downtube also receives their E-Link design that places Shimano Di2 junction boxes in the downtube to be easily-accessible.

Honestly, because the ride quality from the Cannonadle EVO that I was previously on was so outstanding. That was hard to get out of my head. I actually have been quite taken with the Italian curves. Secondly, those curves. Yes Italian curves.
That is to say because my wife might read this the curves on the frame of this bicycle are so darn sexy. Aesthetically the bike jumps out at you, but not in a loud obnoxious way.

How many races end on a hilltop? But wind. It is always there and never going away. Hills are only a small portion of any given race route. Also, the stem has been modified. The stem it comes with matches the aero shaping of the spacers and head tube. This bike is fully outfitted with Shimano Ultegra Do you even need Dur-Ace bro? This stuff is so good the only reason to upgrade is for the weight savings. It is so smooth and it works! Pinarello claims that the ovalized face with the more abrupt back reduces drag.

GAN is a good entry level which maintains the peculiarities of DOGMA F8: asymmetry, even if less prominent, and a new high-strength material, although less rigid and performing.
The Pinarello Gan is the italian brand's entry level racing bicycle. This specific model is the lowest of the low. Does that make it any bad? Not at all.
There's quite a lot of bike for the money. Right off the bat, there's a Shimano drivetrain. For those who haven't tried it, I highly suggest you try it out. The quality of the shifting is on par with Ultegra, and dare I say, even Dura-Ace. Beingit's a mechanical groupset, and the Gan has internal cable routing. Not a big surprise, but Pinarello has done an excellent job of it.
Some other brands, Focus for example, don't take too much care of internal cables on their lower end bikes. Aside from the drivetrain, the rest of the components are made by Most, Pinarello's in house components brand.

The Most brakes provide good stopping power, though feel a little spongy. The stem, handlebars, and headset are also made by Most, and they work just fine.
It also comes with a Fizik Antares saddle, which was quite the surprise for me. The Antares is the middle child of Fizik's spine concept, and personally, it oh-so happens to match mine.
The bike also comes with Fulcrum Racing wheels, which aren't bad, but on the heavy side. More on that later. Anyways, enough about the components, let's get to ride quality and feel. Once you hop and and place your foot down on the pedal, you'll notice how stiff this bike is.
The best way I can describe it is when you pedal forwards, the bike follows instantly and doesn't feel soft like on an aluminiuim bike. One thing to note is the Gan's aggressive geometry. This is because the Gan derives from the Dogma frameset, and its focus is to not be an aero bike, climbing bike, or a commuter, but a fast bike.
In this aspect,I can easily say they've successfully achieved their objective. When riding, it simply feels fast. Sprint session? Boom, done.

Out of the saddle and WHAM, climb's over. Not to mention the oddly crisp ride quality as well. Some brands try to dampen the vibration from the road on carbon fiber bicycles to provide a smoother ride, but I think that takes the fun out of a carbon bike.By the time I took the Pinarello Gan out on a km ride, I had already done a quite bit of riding on it: up steep climbs, down winding descents, on fast group rides and rough gravel roads.
What was clear from shorter group rides was that the Gan was fast. It felt in its element when I was on the front taking a long pull, powering into headwinds or up steady gradients. The Gan also looks fantastic, which never hurts. After km, the Gan was surprisingly comfortable. The frame was, after all, designed for speed.
The Dogma F8 was introduced in mid and came out of a collaboration between Pinarello and Jaguar, which brought aerodynamic elements to the frame. The biggest differences between the Gan and the Dogma are the grades of carbon fibre and their layup.
The Gan is heavier than its lightweight companion, in part because the material it is built with weighs more. The built-up bottom bracket and head tube, aggressive geometry and aerodynamic design are all preserved in the Gan making it look and act like a race bike.
When you need to win the sprint for the signpost against your riding buddies, the Gan will react well to your burst of power. Climbing out of the saddle, I found the Gan responds well. When I continued to push on past the top, however, I felt the bike was at its best. The Shimano RS wheels are good for training and riding. They do, however, lack a bit of snappiness and feel a little sluggish when accelerating. If you really want to go fast on the Gan, a wheel upgrade would be a good change.
But the T carbon with build does preserve the feel and esthetics of a top performing Italian bike. The style and performance of the frame is paired with a value-oriented build geared toward the everyday working cyclist. Load More.
